001. First and foremost, I do not interact with bigots and icky people. This includes, but is not limited to, racism, homophobia, transphobia, pedophilia, xenophobia, and all things in-between. If you present yourself as one of these individuals I will be blocking you. 002. W/UT are a-okay in my book and encouraged. If I don't have the RP tag on, I am not IC. You are always free to approach me in game! I am shy, but I promise I don't bite. (Unless you ask.) Please be 18+ when reaching out. If you are a minor I have no interest in talking with you, sorry. 003. Please, please, please have clear indicators for what is IC and OOC. ((ooc text)), (ooc text), [ooc text] are some of the examples I see most common. Please understand that IC =/= OOC. Ophelia may have act or say something you do not like but that does not reflect my own sentiment. In that same vein, RP is not a dating service; respect that. 004. I am okay with triggering content and taboo themes. I personally have no triggers but, as my partner, I encourage you to inform me if you do. While I am okay with many things, the comfort of my partners is my number one priority.
Just because I am okay with taboo themes =/= any themes. Anything involving incest, underaged sex, things of that nature are not things I will engage with.
CREDITS
005. While I am typically okay with e/rp, Ophelia is not a character who would engage in sex or romance. As a result, I will not be e/rp'ing on her nor sexualizing her. 006. I am totally fine with lore-breaking. The world of Final Fantasy is vast and varied and a little lore-breaking never hurt anyone. If I have questions about your character, I will gladly ask them. Feel free to tell me all about them. 007. I am available for both in-game and on Discord RP. I prefer Discord RP as I work often and at times have other commitments I must see to (such as raiding), but if you reach out and ask if I can sign on to do in-game RP I will always try my best. If you would like to plan something in advanced, feel free to ask for my Discord! 008. I am autistic and I also have adhd. I bring this up because sometimes it takes me a few times to understand something. If I ask you to clarify something please know it's embarrassing to have to do so, but sometimes things don't click as they should. With that said, if something I say/do doesn't make sense or upsets you at all please let me know! If you have questions feel free to reach out! I am a little quiet around new people but I am always happy to chat! It has been a while since I've RP'd (I am not new but took a long break) so I will be kind of rusty getting back into the swing of things.

MENTAL HEALTH Mental health isn't the best and she is prone to bouts of depression and anxiety. She has perfected the art of bottling things up which often leads to her eventually exploding, usually in combat. HEIGHT 156 cm (5"1')
WEIGHT 99lbs
HAIR copper brown and white
EYES olive green
SKIN Slightly tanned and covered in freckles. Her hands and feet have began to turn black.
MARKS Has several dark red marks along her torso, paired with a few bright red circles.
SCARS Several scars, most prominent being a circular scar across the entirety of her neck, both hands, and both feet. Also has two claw marks across her right chest, a scar curving along the right side of her ribcage, a long scar going across the middle of her abdomen, and a scar curving along the right side of her pelvis. PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION Ophelia is a half miqo'te, half Midlander of average height and weight. Looking more miqo'te than Midlander, her ears and tail are calico in pattern. Her hair is copper and white, reflecting the colors found on her ears and tail, and is usually kept neatly tied with a blue and white bow. Slightly tanned from farm work and heavily freckled, she's a rather cute little cat.She often dresses conservatively, wearing clothes that show little skin. Her go-to style of clothing to wear is dresses in her favorite colors (blue, white, orange) that feature a full neckline, wrist length sleeves, and ankle length skirt. She always pairs dresses with blackout tights and boots. She can often be seen in the standard White Mage attire, although it is not something she enjoys wearing. She dislikes the heavy white robes, but when her work requires her to dress in uniform she will wear it without much complaint. No matter what she wears, one will often find her wearing gloves on her hands. She goes to great lengths to never show her skin save that on her face. What lies hidden under the clothing is signs of her Voidsent corruption and woes of being the Warrior of Light. Several scars can be found across her body, the most prominent being the fatal ones. Knowing it would tedious to explain her multiple deaths and subsequent resurrections, she opts to hide the scars that remain from those deaths. Also being hidden by her attire is her blackening flesh; currently, only her hands and feet have began to darken and so, to keep it from view, she wears a pair of brown leather gloves and matching boots. And finally there are the symbols, a result of a spell marked upon her flesh. They are two shades of red that swirl upon her skin, meant to keep the Voidsent that she hosts in her body weakened. Although these markings are painted onto her skin, they will never fade until her curse is broken. PARENTS Kennth & M'iria Crest.
SIBLINGS Oldest of 14 children. Erik, Roxanne, Nina, Sophia, Eva, Alicia, Octavia, Rachel, Irene, Teresa, Violet, Flora, Helen.
PETS A Chocobo named lavender
Cursed to be a hero
Ophelia was born in the Black Shroud to Kenneth and M'iria Crest. Her parents were young lovers, barely married and at teh start of their careers. Once Ophelia was old enough to help her parents with their respective jobs, she was practically glued to her father's hip. She loved helping him raise Chocobos,Ophelia was born in the Black Shroud to Kenneth and M'iria Crest. Her father raised Chocobos and her mother was a beekeeper. They were young, barely married, and at the start of their careers when they had Ophelia. Once old enough to help her parents, Ophelia was practically glued to her father's hip. She loved helping him tend the Chocobos, playing with the chicks and learning from a young age how to treat your Chocobo with the love and care they deserved. When he deemed her old enough, Kenneth taught her how to ride Chocobos. This sparked a deep love for not only riding, but Chocobo racing at a young age. When she was eight her parents had their second child, her younger brother Erik. Ophelia adored her baby brother and happily helped her parents care for the newborn. The year after Erik's birth her sister Roxanne was born and another year after that, the quintuplets were born. With seven young children all under one household and her parents wanting to focus more on their careers, Ophelia was pushed by her parents to take more responsibility of her siblings. Despite only being a child herself, Ophelia wanted nothing more than to help her parents and so she took over primary care of her seven younger siblings, becoming their parental figure. Having to juggle helping her parents with work and caring for the seven children led to her missing out on many things: school, friendship, a normal childhood. And while she loved her family more than anything, having to miss out on activities did cause a small glimmer of resentment to form.Once Ophelia turned 12, her father gifted her the Chocbo chick that would become her best friend. The chick, having been born a light purple due to it's mother's diet, was named Lavender and the pair became inseparable. Ophelia raised the Chocobo diligently and with love and his addition to her life made sorrows over missing out on average life events more bearable. Once he was old enough to ride, any free time Ophelia had was spent on the back of Lavender. When she had turned 13, a few things changed in Ophelia's life. First of note was a feeling she could only describe as "strange". It manifested as nightmares or a bad feeling in her gut and a nagging in the back of her head that something bad was about to happen. She would have inklings that her siblings were about to get hurt and, much to her horror, these feelings came true. At first it was when one of her sisters fell from a tree and broke her arm, Ophelia having seen that very scene in her nightmare the night before. She then had a bad feeling that her brother was about to get hurt and sure enough, he ended up slipping and hitting his head on a rock. When she explained these occurrences to her parents, they told her it was probably her intuition as the oldest sister and she took it as such. She began to trust these feelings and act on them, pulling her siblings from getting hurt several times. The second was that the Conjurer's Guild expressed their desire to recruit her. One of the members had witnessed Ophelia using magic to heal her younger siblings' cuts and bruises and, believing her to have potential, reached out to her parents about having her attend lessons. Although Ophelia wouldn't admit it out loud, she truly had no interest in joining the guild but it provided the young teenager a break from her responsibilities, so she pleaded with her parents to join until they finally relented.Although she had intended to use her lessons at the Conjurer's Guild as a chance to relax, she did not slack on her lessons and, much to her surprise, proved quite skilled. Despite her inexperience, she picked things up rather quickly and impressed her mentoring Conjurer who recommended her to E-Sumi-Yan for more advanced lessons. Acknowledging her skill, he sent her into the forest to aid in placating the Elementals.Once more she exceled and displayed a compassion and dedication to her task that Brother E-Sumi-Yan praised. It was this dedication that had him call upon her to defend Raya-O-Senna & A-Ruhn-Senna during the Quieting. It was during that quest that she obtained her White Mage stone; Raya-O-Senna claimed it to be fate, but to Ophelia it was nothing more than a coincidence.Becoming a White Mage added to her ever-growing list of responsibilities. She was now deployed to assist Wood Wailers in their tasks defending the populace, heal adventurers who were underprepared for their quests, and caring for the Elementals and the forest on top of tending to her siblings and aiding her parents with their work. She'd never admit it, but the overwhelming amount of responsibilities caused negative feelings to fester and she began to resent her lack of freedom. But she was a dutiful daughter and healer and never complained. For several years, it was the same thing over and over again; her responsibilities continued to grow and so did her resentment. She loved her family and enjoyed helping others, but she wanted time to herself which she never got. Her whole life was spent in service to others. The only noticeable change was when she was 18 when her younger sister Roxanne decided to follow in her footsteps and join the Conjurer's Guild. Roxanne, looking up to her older sister, wanted to mimic her. Unfortunately she was not as gifted in healing magic as Ophelia and that caused her frustration. Ophelia, an ever-loving older sister, mentored Roxanne despite her overwhelming responsibilities. For three years things were normal, albeit tiring, but things took an unfortunate turn when Ophelia reached twenty-one.Roxanne began to claim she heard the Elementals speaking to her, beckoning her to find them within the forest. The Conjurer's Guild informed her that to be impossible, the Elementals only spoke to the Padjal which she was not. But young and ambitious, Roxanne believed she knew better. During one of her lessons in the forest, she branched off from the other Conjurers and began to follow the whispers in the woods. Although Ophelia knew not of her little sisters plans, she began to experience that nagging feeling in the back of her head that something ominous was afoot. Acting on this feeling as she had several times in the past, she followed her vision into the woods. She found her sister trying to commune with a sinister looking tree, using her magic to heal the withered tree. As Ophelia called for her sister to stop, a shadowy form reached from the tree for her sister, but Ophelia intercepted it. A hand of darkened Aether encircled her wrist, seeping into her skin and burning her flesh. Something dark and sinister took hold of her flesh, leaving her with a splitting headache and sick to her stomach before she lost consciousness. For days she remained incapacitated, plagued with nightmares and whispers in the dark. When she finally came to, she found herself in the care of Kan-E-Senna. The leader of Gridania and her fellow White Mage explained what had happened. Several generations ago, a monstrous Voidsent named Sitri had invaded the Twelveswood. It sought to devour the Elementals within, seeking to absorb their Aether so that it might grow in power. A troupe of White Mages fought the Voidsent and, unable to destroy it, sealed it within a three in the forest following the guidance of the Elementals. The Voidsent's existence was hidden from the masses, information about it only passed down from Padjal to Padjal. With each passing year, the conflict and strife that took place within the Twelveswood began to empower the sealed Voidsent and weaken it's seal. This enabled it to reach out to what it deemed to be the most easily manipulated Conjurer who unfortunately happened to be Ophelia's sister Roxanne. Although it's seal had weakened, it had not obtained enough power to resume it's form and so it attached itself to a host -- Ophelia. It tethered itself to her soul so that it would not dissipate and like a parasite, it began to siphon Ophelia's Aether and crept towards possessing Ophelia fully. The Padjal, using the wisdom of their ancestors, marked Ophelia's body with a spell to keep the Voidsent at bay but it would not be indefinite. With no knowledge of how to rid Ophelia of the Voidsent, Kan-E-Senna laments that she has to send Ophelia from the Shroud so that the Voidsent can no longer threaten the Shroud. While Ophelia had wanted a break from her responsibilities to the Shroud and her family, she didn't want to be banished from her home. With no other choice, Ophelia followed the advice of Kan-E-Senna and traveled to Ul'dah, hoping the Thaumaturge Guild might have some information regarding Voidsent. They did not know how to assist her, but advised she register with the Adventurer's Guild, suggesting that she might get information to help her from the quests posted. She got some insight into Voidsents thanks to her various traversals into dungeons, but still found nothing on how to rid herself of her own Voidsent invader. As she continued to work as an adventurer, she eventually met Thancred. Always a sucker to those who request help, she aided him, finding him charming to an extent. He introduced herself to Minfillia, the leader of the Scions, who educated her on the Echo and informed Ophelia that she possessed it. She bid Ophelia to join the Scions and aid them in protecting Eorezea from the Primals. Ophelia was hesitant -- she did not want to involve herself with the Scions and wanted to focus on her goal of freeing herself from Sitri's influence. But Minfillia pleaded, playing into Ophelia's tender nature and easy guilt when she informed her many would fall to Primals if left uncheck and that only Ophelia was protected from their tempering. This became a vicious cycle. Ophelia did not want to be a hero, did not want to be the Warrior of Light, did not want to save Eorzea. All she wanted was to rid herself of Sitri and then return to her family to resume her boring life. But through pleading, playing on her guilty and naive nature, and subtle manipulations she continued on as the Warrior of Light. Though busy with her new responsibilities, she continued her search for information. One benefit of her status of the Warrior of Light was her name (and issues) spreading across the globe. She was summoned to Ul'Dah by a mysterious letter and it was in Ul'dah that she found Griselda and the Lemures. Griselda, being a Reaper, had much more knowledge of Voidsent than Ophelia had expected and through Griselda's guidance, Ophelia found ways to better hold back Sitri's influence on her. One such way was becoming a Reaper; instead of forming a contract with a summoned lesser Voidsent, she used Sitri's Aether in order to weaken the Voidsent and stave off his possession of her. She looked up to Griselda, finding kinship with the older woman and her fellow Lemures. They were the first ones to show genuine concern for her despite her status as the Warrior of Light and she enjoyed their company and companionship. Their company was short-lived, however, as she was called away again to follow the duty of the Warrior of Light. For now, Ophelia continues to help the world and search for answers so that she might eventually return home.
— * Ophelia's mother, M'iria, is from the M tribe of the Peering Stones and is the younger sister of M'hahtoa. Separated from her tribe during a skirmish with the Garleans as a young girl, she was found by a member of the Twin Adders who brought her to the Black Shroud. Adopted by a beekeeping couple in The Honey Yard, she was raised in Gridania. Her trauma from the separation of her tribe played a part in her hands-off approach to raising her children. Being M'hahtoa's sister makes her M'naago's aunt, meaning Ophelia and M'naago are cousins; this is a fact unknown to both, as M'iria has not disclosed much of her past to Ophelia and Ophelia and her siblings names do not follow Miqo'te naming conventions. — * Ophelia's father, Kenneth, was orphaned when his parents died in a Garlean skirmish. Raised by his mother's cousins in Bentbranch Meadows, it was there that he developed a passion for raising Chocobos. — * Ophelia's Echo is rather unique. While she can see the past, she can also see the future in bits and pieces. It manifests as a bad dream or a uneasy feeling in the back of her head. Originally she thought it was an intuition that came from being the eldest sibling, but as she began to predict things such as one of her younger sisters falling from a tree and breaking her arm, she began to realize it was something more. It was only after she began to work with the Scions that she realized it must be a result of Hydaelyn's Blessing. She has no control of this clairvoyance and cannot choose who or what she sees. — * Ophelia is immortal as far as she knows. She has survived numerous deaths: decapitation, stabbings, drownings. And while she is immortal, she is not ignorant of her deaths and remembers the pain of each one. She is unsure if her immortality is a result of the Echo or the Voidsent that claims her as host. — * Ophelia is illiterate. While she does have some basic knowledge of spelling and math, she never received a proper education as she was too busy helping her parents with their work and, later on, caring for her siblings. — * Ophelia never wanted to be a White Mage, Reaper, or Warrior of Light. Since childhood she wanted to be a Chocobo racer and dreamed of fame and fortune. Every free moment she has is spent riding her Chocobo Lavender. The Chocobo is her best friend and the pair of them are inseparable. She is an excellent rider, able to beat almost everyone in a race. Any chance she gets, she participates in the Chocobo races at the Gold Saucer where she has come in first place more times than not.

Warrior of light
In her main verse, Ophelia is the hesitant Warrior of Light. Manipulated into the role by Minfilia and the Scions of the Seventh Dawn, she helps the residents of the star with little complaint. Through her duties as the hero of Eorzea, she searches for a way to rid herself of her Voidsent parasite.

adventurer
If your character is the Warrior of Light or you prefer to not roleplay with Warriors of Light, Ophelia can easily be played as just a standard adventurer. Through her various quests, she makes connections with others and seeks out answers to her problem.

cursed
Ophelia is, for a lack of better word, cursed. She currently is host to a Voidsent named Sitri, who has tethered himself to her in order to drain her Aether and make himself whole. Ophelia is desperate to be rid of Sitri, but has not found much information about being a physical host to a Voidsent and how to purge the Voidsent.
